WaveLicense — a licensing system for software you sell yourself.
Each buyer automatically receives their own unique license key upon purchase. On first launch, the key remembers which computer it's running on and will only work on that computer thereafter. Sharing it is pointless.
Here's how it works: Someone buys from SellAuth → my server generates a key → the buyer sees it immediately at checkout. When they then launch my program, it briefly queries the server to verify the key's validity. The server decides, not the program — so tinkering with the program is pointless.
What I can do with it: Block keys (e.g., in case of a chargeback), transfer a key to a new PC when a customer buys a new computer, sell subscriptions with a fixed term, and see who is launching what and when in a small web panel.
Installation on the customer's end: one line of code. Available for Python, Node.js, and Java.
Cost: zero. Runs entirely on the free Supabase plan; no dedicated server is required.
What it can't do: protect PDFs or videos (technically impossible), and with Java/.NET, the check without obfuscation is only a hurdle, not a bulwark. The real protection is that the server decides.
